Incoterms 2021 Despite being such an integral part of our everyday lives, most people don’t know much about freight, much less the jargon associated with it. But if you are shipping goods, knowing your incoterm is essential to understanding who is responsible for what in the supply chain.

DAP tillhör Incoterms grupp 1 och kan alltså användas för alla transportsätt. Vid användning av leveransvillkor DAP (Delivered at Place) ansvarar köparen för inklarering vilket innebär att säljaren måste vara vaksam på att köparen kan fullgöra sitt åtagande. On January 1, 2020, the new Incoterms 2020 went into effect. These new terms were released by the International Chamber of Commerce in Sept of 2019 and set guidelines for how shipments between a seller and buyers in different countries are handled. Delivered-at-place (DAP) is an international trade term used to describe a deal in which a seller agrees to pay all costs and suffer any potential losses of moving goods sold to a specific location. DAP and DDP are designed to leave the difficulties of international shipping in the hands of sellers that do international commerce all the time, rather than in the hands of a buyer that might have limited experience.

Under the Delivered At Place (DAP) Incoterms rules, the seller is responsible for delivery of the goods, ready for unloading, at the named place of destination. The seller assumes all risks involved up to unloading. Unloading is at the buyer's risk and cost.
